Sadly, due to habitat loss and hunting, the population of whooping cranes dwindled to just 15 individuals at one point. However, through conservation efforts and partnerships between local communities and organizations, the population has slowly increased to around 800 individuals today. It’s heartwarming to see how much impact regular people can have when they come together for a common cause.
